Mindfulness in School

What is Mindfulness? To be mindful is to be aware of what is going on in our body, in our feelings, in our mind, and in the world, therefore, reducing stress, and enjoying life a little more. This workshop aims to help participants integrate Mindfulness into their daily lives. At the end of the session, participants will be able to leave with the tools and understanding to begin their own personal practice .






Authentic Assessment

How can we adapt our assessments to make them more relevant to our students? In this workshop, you will explore what authentic assessments are and their value in improving students’ learning. You will have a chance to use the GRASPS model and the 4Shifts Protocol to design authentic assessments for your classes. This workshop is intended for all teachers of any subject and any grade level.

Planning Relevant Lessons

The aim of this workshop is to develop an understanding of a lesson strategy which integrates context, language and content which is called CAPA sequence. Examples of CAPA lessons will be explored and discussed in this workshop. This lesson strategy is helpful for subject specific teachers.







Technology in the Classroom

The use of media tools is integrated within the teaching and learning process. It involves the use of different samples particularly Vevox, Pear Deck, EdPuzzle and Quizizz with practical tips on how to fully utilize these resources for synchronous, asynchronous, or hybrid classes.
